Genesis

PM SHRI KV Bhandup was started on 5th September 1986 and Shift-2 started in 2018 from Academic Session 2018-19, in NCH colony Kanjurmarg, to accommodate the children of the employees of the Naval Dockyard. The school, which started as a three-section school, has currently, 4 sections of each class from I to XII. A second shift has also been functioning since 2018 to accommodate the ever-increasing demand of seats.
The Vidyalaya has been included in the scheme of PM SHRI schools in the academic session 2023 and achieved tremendous progress in the areas of infrastructure as well as pedagogy by implementing the policy recommendations in line with NEP 2020. This has confirmed KV Bhandup’s positions as one of the prominent KVs of Mumbai region.
The Vidyalaya ensures commendable participation in multifaceted academic and co-curricular activities envisaged by the KVS as well as a wide range of outside agencies, resulting in the overall development of students. The able guidance of the KVS, the support of the VMC, parents and other stakeholders as well as the untiring efforts of the staff and students have been instrumental in the journey of PM SHRI KV Bhandup towards the goal of excellence.
