    About PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Bhandup

    PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Bhandup is run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It is affiliated to the Ministry of Education, India and Central Board of Secondary Education and offers common curriculum and co-curricular activities. PM Shri KV Bhandup was established in 1984 to accommodate the children of Naval Dockyard employees at NCH Colony Kanjurmarg. Starting as a three section school, the school currently has 4 sections each from 1st to 12th. A second shift is also functioning since 2017 to accommodate the growing demand for seats. The school has been included in the PM Shri Schools Scheme in the academic session 2023 and has achieved tremendous progress in the areas of infrastructure as well as pedagogy by implementing policy recommendations in line with NEP 2020. The school ensures commendable participation in multifaceted academic and co-curricular activities envisaged by KVS as well as a wide range of external agencies, resulting in holistic development of students. The able guidance of KVS, support of VMC, parents and other stakeholders as well as the untiring efforts of the staff and students have played a vital role in PM Shri KV Bhandup’s journey towards the goal of excellence.

    Vision

    • To cater to the educational needs of the children of transferable Central Government employees including Defence and Para-Military personnel by providing a common programme of education.
    • To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc.
    • To develop the spirit of national integration and inculcate a sense of Indianness among the children.

    Objectives

    • To cater to the educational needs of the children of transferable Central Government employees including Defence and Para-Military personnel by providing a common programme of education To achieve excellence and set the pace in the field of school education.
    • To provide, establish, support, maintain, control and manage schools for the children of transferable employees of the Government of India, temporary population and other persons including those residing in remote and underdeveloped places in the country, hereinafter referred to as Kendriya Vidyalayas and to do all acts and things necessary to promote such schools.
